Confidence is Bliss

Well, I have finally done it. I have figured out the way to get on and off the couch without having to to beg for Mom or Dad to help me. AND I've also mastered the first step out of the front door. This may not sound like a big deal to you, but for me? This gives me a whole new sense of freedom! Before, when I was on the couch and had to "go," I had to yell for Mom or Dad to come get me. And they didn't always make it in time. That's just embarrassing for me and messy for them. But now? Now I can bring my toys up! And I can get down whenever I want!

My Mom thinks she is the luckiest girl in the world because she gets to work from home. She has never had a puppy before, and she is excited to watch me grow. I've only been here a few days (a week tomorrow!), and I already have matured quite a bit. Don't get me wrong... I'm still very much a puppy. But it is nice to be a bit more confident. I mean, who wants to be afraid of shadows? Not me! I even begged to go outside tonight! The dark has got nothing on me! Mom is extremely proud. Dad's not home from work yet, but he'll be proud when he hears all about it.

Well, it is time for another nap on... t h e . . . c o u c h . . . zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
